Cited Formats
Some rules to remember:
- Alphabetize entries in the list of works cited by the
author's last name;
- If there are two or more authors, use: Author's Last
Name, First Name and First Name Last Name;
- Use editor's name if there is no author;
- If author's name is unknown, alphabetize by the title
(ignoring A, An, The);
- If several cities of publication are given, use only
the first;
Use correct punctuation.

PERIODICALS Format:
Authors Last Name, Author's Last Name. "Title of Article."
Title of Magazine. Publication date: page
number(s).
SCHOLARLY JOURNAL Format:
Author's Last Name, Author's First Nam,. "Title
of Article." Title of Journal Volume. Issue: page
number(s).
NEWSPAPER ARTICLE Format:
Author's Last Name, Author's First Name. "Title
of Article." Title of Newspaper. Date of
publication,
edition: section letter and page number.
IMAGE, PAINTING, PHOTOGRAPH
Format:
Creator's Last Name, Creator's First Name. Title of
Image. Institution Housing the Work, City of
Institution.
