Acceptable uses of the library for students
Facility use
Students may drink in the library but no open beverage containers around the computers.
Eating food is not allowed.
Students may gather socially and speak in low tones. Group meetings for clubs or assignments are not allowed.
Students staying after school must be very quiet and work alone.
Students may use the library to take pictures for assignments by first securing permission of the librarian.
Students can sleep. The school’s paper supply is kept in the library. Students cannot touch, move, damage them.
Students may not play card games or board games or games of chance. Students may use their hand held calculators. Students may listen to their Ipods with earphones. Students cannot use cellphones in the school.
Students must pay to use the photocopier for reproducing items of personal use. Library materials are free to copy.
Computers
Students may use the computers to process research by accessing library databases. They may use the computers to complete assignments. They may use the computers to access the Internet for research or education.
Students cannot use the computers to play games.
Students cannot view music videos. Students cannot use audio at any time unless they have ear phones and the site they are accessing is for educational use.
Students must follow the requirements of network and computer use as stated in the Acceptable Use Policy.
