map-like view into a wealth of data collected by the
Federal Government.
This interactive map of the United States allows the
user to display airports, federal lands, urban areas, water
features, parkways, rivers, railroads, roads, volcanoes
and seismic events.

the reasearcher to search by keyword. It requires
an initial registration, but is mostly free. Searching
in both Todays News and Extended Search is free; one
must purchase articles from the 365 Day Archive.
Roget's Thesaurus

The University of Chicago's ARTFL Project now
includes Roget's Thesaurus
(the 1911 edition, currently being updated).
Although classified as
experimental, this is a good reference tool
