Mission
In an environment of mutual respect, the Byram
Hills School District and its community will provide students
with the means, the knowledge, and the opportunity to excel
in order to become productive and responsible citizens of
the twenty-first century.

Philosophy
The district philosophy, as expressed in the
foreword of the Board of Education policy book, articulates
the value of a free and public education, the importance of
an informed citizenry, the objective of honoring each student
as an individual, and the belief in lifelong learning.

Meetings
School Board meetings take place on Tuesday
evenings at 7:30 PM at District
Office. Meeting dates are indicated on the Byram
Hills School calendar and are open to the public. Meeting
agendas are posted at the public library and on the district's
web site prior to each meeting. Procedures for public participation
at Board of Education meetings are available at the meetings.
A summary of Board meeting activity is published in the flyer,
"On Board" following each meeting. "On Board" is posted in
the public library, attached to school newsletters, and is
posted on the district's web site. |
