In its final meeting of the 2003-04 school year,
the Board worked through a long and action-packed
agenda, with more than the usual numbers in attendance.
Staff Recognitions
In a reception prior to the meeting, and at the head
of the public meeting agenda, the Board celebrated
three kinds of recognition for staff members-Teacher
Recognition Awards, Longevity Service Awards, and
administrative recognitions.
Teacher Recognition Awards are a Byram Hills tradition

Administrative recognition was offered to Anne Kaplan,
Chair of the Guidance Department from 1998 through
2004, who is stepping into a full-time guidance counselor
role at the high school. Ms. Kaplan was lauded for
her leadership contributions, in general, and for
her college admissions expertise, in particular.
