The Alumni Performance
Closer Than Ever
Closer Than Ever is a nonstop exploration of everyday struggles in the modern world. Topics ranging from unrequited adoration to aging to Muzak are tackled with resounding sincerity and precisely placed hilarity.
Each song is a unique story told by a new character, taking audiences not only into the songbook of Mr. Maltby and Mr. Shire, but into the minds of individuals facing these completely relatable challenges.
CLOSER THAN EVER is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

Come Back. Reconnect. Celebrate.
A 60-Year Reunion & Celebration of the Arts
More than just a show, this evening is shaping up to be an incredible reunion of Varley Players spanning the last 60 years of Byram Hills theatre history.
Whether you graduated recently or were on stage decades ago, we invite you to come back, reconnect with old friends, relive great memories, and see familiar faces, including Joy Varley!
Honoring Our Alumni in the Arts
As part of the celebration, we are updating the plaque wall outside the theatre that honors alumni who continued into careers or active involvement in the arts. Our last inductee was TV producer Tristan Zimmerman, Class of 2000. We are excited to expand the wall to recognize our amazing alumni from 2001 to 2016!
