The Byram Hills Site-Based Teams are organized by school, and members work with the building principals to support the school-based initiatives and goals. Members of the Site-Based Teams meet periodically throughout the year as scheduled within each building. Additionally, the Site-Based Teams meet twice per year district-wide to share work within each building and collaborate across buildings on district-wide initiatives.

 

Additionally, we review and present various aspects of our curriculum at district-wide meetings, and building-level teams may align their goals with this focus as well.

Membership
Byram Hills School District benefits from a high level of parent participation in school activities and committees. The administration, teachers, and students appreciate the dedication of the many families who volunteer to partner with the school. The benefit to our students is immeasurable, and we are grateful for parent participation.

Parents, teachers, and administrators serve on the Site-Based Teams. Teachers volunteer to serve on the school's team to support the school's goals and initiatives.

The parent members of the Site-Based Team are selected by the PTSA. We usually have 2-3 site-based parent members per school, and they should be available to attend the two district-wide meetings listed below, as well as additional meetings at the building level if necessary. Please contact the PTSA representative for your child’s school if you wish to serve on the Site-Based Team.

Additionally, parents may serve on the District-wide team only to provide input on the district-wide focus. Interested parents should contact the Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Tim Kaltenecker, to express interest in joining the team.

  • The topic includes an overview of the District's K-12 literacy initiative.
  • We will be joined by Ms. Megan McCauley, Ms. Meredith Brieant, Mr. Duane Smith, and Dr. Jen Laden.
• February 4, 2027: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • The topic includes an overview of HCC's approach to executive function.
  • We will be joined by Ms. Kim Lapple and Mr. Angelo Ancona.

Additional building-level meetings may be scheduled as needed.
