At HCC we take great pride in our participation in community service projects and programs. Some examples of activities include: care packages for Children's Village, visits to Castle Point Nursing Home, donations to a local food shelter, collection of old cell phones and eye glasses, and Valentines for the Veterans.

This year, in addition to the many community service acitivities, the site-based/curriculum committee has adopted the school Board of Education goal on Sustainabilty as part of its focus for the school year. Students have been learning more about ways to recycle and how to help create a more environmentally friendly world. Most recently, the Town of North Castle has approved the adoption of MacDonald Avenue by HCC for beautification.
