FALL 2026
Position: Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach
The Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach will lead the Byram Hills High School varsity cheerleading program, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-energy team environment while promoting school spirit, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, teaching cheerleading skills and routines, coordinating performances at athletic events and competitions, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
The coach will oversee all aspects of the varsity program, including skill development, stunt progression, choreography, game-day and competition preparation, and team management. Responsibilities also include collaborating with athletic department staff, communicating effectively with student-athletes and families, and ensuring compliance with all school, league, and NYSPHSAA regulations.
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunting safety standards, and competition preparation. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential. Prior cheerleading coaching experience, particularly at the high school or competitive level, is preferred.

Position: Head JV Boys Basketball Coach
The Head JV Boys Basketball Coach will lead the junior varsity boys basketball program at Byram Hills High School, focusing on player development, team concepts, and preparing student-athletes for varsity-level competition. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting practices, implementing game strategies, and fostering a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture.
The coach will work collaboratively with the varsity coaching staff to ensure alignment with the overall philosophy and goals of the boys basketball program. Responsibilities include teaching fundamental and advanced basketball skills, managing game-day operations, communicating effectively with student-athletes and families, and ensuring compliance with all school, league, and athletic department policies.
Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategy, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. Previous coaching experience is preferred.
