Position: LABORATORY ASSISTANT - BYRAM HILLS HIGH SCHOOL
Job Information
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up laboratory equipment for science class
- Assists Science Teacher in testing out new laboratory experiments prior to classroom implementation
- Assists students in usage of laboratory equipment
- Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Informs Science Teacher as to when new supplies and equipment is needed
- Keeps laboratory equipment clean and in good working order
- Collects and distributes textbooks and materials
- May use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email and database software
Required - A Bachelor's Degree in a practical science such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related field
- Fingerprint clearance from the New York State Education Dept.
Employment
- This position works 180 days per year plus the Superintendent's Conference Days (currently 3 days per year)
- The work day is 6.5 hours; 7:30AM-2:30PM with a half-hour unpaid lunch
- Starting Salary: $35,000 - $38,000

Position: Head JV Boys Lacrosse Coach
Job Information: The Head JV Boys Lacrosse Coach will lead the junior varsity program at Byram Hills High School, focusing on developing individual and team skills, fostering a strong work ethic, and preparing athletes for varsity-level competition. The coach will design and lead practices, implement game strategies, and cultivate a positive and inclusive team environment.
Collaboration with the varsity coaching staff is essential to ensure alignment across the program. Additional responsibilities include game-day coaching, communication with athletes and parents, and adherence to school and department policies.
Candidates should have a solid foundation in lacrosse coaching, strong communication skills, and a passion for mentoring student-athletes. Prior playing and/or coaching experience is preferred.

Position: Assistant JV Boys Lacrosse Coach

This role includes assisting in game-day operations and helping guide student-athletes through their development both on and off the field.
The assistant coach will contribute to the overall success of the lacrosse program by reinforcing expectations, communicating effectively with students and staff, and modeling sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of the game, the ability to work collaboratively, and a desire to help young athletes grow. Coaching or playing experience is preferred.

Position: Head Varsity Girls Tennis Coach
The Head Varsity Girls Tennis Coach will lead the Byram Hills High School girls tennis program, overseeing all aspects of player development, practice planning, and match preparation. The coach will emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement while fostering a positive and competitive team culture.
Responsibilities include organizing and leading daily practices, developing individual and doubles strategies, managing match lineups, and maintaining communication with athletes, families, and the athletic department. The coach will also ensure compliance with school, league, and NYSPHSAA regulations.
Candidates should have a strong background in tennis, including knowledge of techniques, rules, and match strategy. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required. Prior coaching or competitive playing experience is preferred.

The coach will work closely with the Head Coach to foster a positive, disciplined, and competitive team environment while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
Responsibilities include helping run practices, providing feedback on player technique and strategy, assisting with game-day management, and maintaining communication with student-athletes, parents, and the athletic department. The assistant coach will contribute to the overall success of the program and help mentor student-athletes both on and off the field.
Candidates should have excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for developing high school athletes. Prior coaching or playing experience is preferred but not required.
