The Byram Hills Central School District's Parent Academy supports parents and guardians across all grade levels with knowledge, strategies, and resources that promote student growth, wellness, and achievement.
Through engaging workshops and expert-led sessions, the Parent Academy aims to:
- Equip parents with valuable strategies to support their children’s academic and emotional development.
- Strengthen the partnership between school and home.
- Build a learning community where parents can share, grow, and connect.
In 2025-2026, the sessions included:
- How children learn to read and write, with expert researcher and NYU professor, Dr. Carolyn Strom.
- Building executive function skills, with Ms. Tanya Bosco from Innovative Designs for Education.
- Digital wellness, with expert Ms. Sarah Gallagher Trombley.
- Supporting kids through the college application process, with psychotherapy clinician Ms. Jennifer Schultz.
